PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

April 2012

With our recent splash of great weather, hopefully all of you are out there enjoying time spent with your horses and family. You never know when the weather will turn sour these days.

Time is getting near for our Family Potluck meeting at Bob & Rose Marie Henry's house. Make sure you get your name and dish to Rose Marie as soon as possible so that plans can be finalized. This will be a great time to get together with friends and taste the favorite dishes of our club members and their families. This meeting will also be used as our May board meeting.

Scholarship applications are due May 1. Be certain that all of your information is correct and the application is properly filled out. Also, transcripts have to be sealed to be valid for consideration. Copies from the internet will not be accepted. Good luck to all and keep up the good work.

As we get ever closer to the Fall Show in Santa Barbara things are moving along. The show theme for this year will be "The World of Disney" and as always, there will be a barn decoration contest and more. The premiums are ready to go and again we have added a few more classes. Also, please try to sponsor a class or banner at the show. All sponsors will be posted in the newsletter and the show program.

Make sure you are sending your news and show results to the newsletter so that it will be included in future issues.

Sincerely,

Laurie Henkel
