PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

March 2013

Looking forward to our general meeting in April, and I hope that many of you will join us as we are headed to the races at Santa Anita Race Track. We will enjoy a great buffet in the Sierra Vista Terrace. Along with the buffet, we will be treated to watching the races in the comfort of the Terrace. The club is picking up a portion of the cost, and we are therefore able to offer this meeting to you for only $30. We are opening this event to all of the clubs in Region One. Feel free to bring some friends. Please see the flyer in this newsletter for more information and reservations.

More preparation has been going into the Santa Barbara Show and our show committee will out looking at trophies and ribbons in the next week or so.

I would like to repeat myself again on behalf of the club on the topic of how much we appreciate your sponsorships for our Santa Barbara show, and would like to remind you to please consider a sponsorship. There are many options available.

Just a reminder about the scholarship and getting in those applications. The deadline is May 1 and hopefully you are getting your pieces of information together and ready to mail. The deadline will jump up here real quick in the next few weeks. Again, the newsletter contains an application, or you may print one from the website.

** We do have a request to those of you that have attended our Santa Barbara show in the past. Do you have a horse that competed in Santa Barbara that went on to Nationals? If so,  we would like to hear from you. You can send the information to ahasocal@yahoo.com and we will take care of it from there. Thank you for your participation.

Sincerely,
Laurie Henkel
