February 2014

Hello All,

It’s good to see so many of our members having such a great time at the Scottsdale show. Between the pictures that have been posted on facebook, and watching the live feed, it looks like many of our members are doing very well.

In case you haven’t heard, there will be a youth judging contest at the Region One Championship show this year. Our own Tami Pacho has put together a great plan to get this event off the ground and running smoothly.  If you would like to volunteer to help, or sponsor any part of the contest please contact:

On the subject of sponsorships, we are looking for sponsors for our own Fall Santa Barbara Show. We have class, futurity/maturity, and banner sponsorships available. Be a part of making our 70th Fall Show extra special.

To our college bound members that are planning to apply for our scholarships, you should be getting your recommendation and transcript requests out there so that they are ready for your submission deadline: May 1, 2014.

Please mark your calendars for our next general meeting. On May 18 we are planning an “Italian Picnic” meeting that will include wine and cheese tasting. The meeting will be hosted by Bob & Rose Marie Henry.  More information to follow in next month’s newsletter.

As mentioned before, we are looking for stories and photos to share at our 70th anniversary show. If you have some memories that you would like to add to our growing memory book, please contact the club through:

Have a great month and enjoy your horses,

Laurie Henkel
