PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

March 2008

You will notice that our newsletter has a slightly different format. I think that it looks great. Thanks to Laurie Henkel for all of her hard work. Be sure to take part in her "The Question Mark" column. Remember also to send in foaling news and show results. We are trying to put the information on our board meetings on the first page that you see. We want to encourage you to attend some of our and meetings and see what we are all about. They are open to everyone and the location rotates each month. Just be sure to call the meeting hosts and let them know you are coming. We have dinner at the meetings and everyone chips in $5.00 to the host to help with the costs.

Be sure to get your reservations in for our April meeting. The night at Los Alamitos Race track is really going to be a fun one. We will feature an informative speaker on Arabian racing, a great dinner, and then to top it all off you get to enjoy the races that night. The club is picking up a large part of the cost, and we are therefore able to offer this meeting to you for only $20 and it really is a bargain at that price. We are opening this event to all of the clubs in Region One. family, and friends. Just make sure you send in your reservations

It looks like our summer meeting is going to be another wonderful pool party and barbeque. Look for details in the future. Our fall show wrap up meeting and our Christmas party will round off the agenda for 2008.

You will notice that it is time for our Scholarships again. If you are a club member and attending college be sure to check out the details. We are also gearing up for our drive to get sponsorships for our Fall Santa Barbara show this year. Please consider putting a sponsorship in your budget for the year.

I hope that we see more of you in 2008.

Sincerely,
Mary Ann Hughes
